In GOSP facilities, associated gas from oil wells is separated from crude oil. The processing includes sweetening (removing salt and H₂S), drying (removing water), and stabilization (removing associated gas). NGL plants then fractionate and purify the gas into products like ethane, propane, butane, and iso-butane for distribution as fuel or petrochemical feedstock.

Stabilized crude oil is transported via pipelines and stored in settling tanks at terminals for export by ship, road, or train.
